You may have already seen Hack Care, a 240-page IKEA-style catalogue that uses simple design innovations and hacks to shape environments that empower people with dementia.

We think it’s a fantastic step towards creating an environment that enables people with dementia to live as independently as possible, which is at the heart of the Montessori approach to dementia and ageing.

Designed for the Singapore-based Lien Foundation by Lekker Architects, in collaboration with industrial design studio Lanzavecchia + Wai, the guide contains stories, ideas, hacks and instructions to make the home a friendlier place for people with dementia.

You can download the guide here.
